Paxo over ruled! The BBC needs a coup not a strike.

Paxman and Humpreys warned on public debate of BBC cut If Lyons ever has the plums to go on Newsnight he’s going to have to face an ‘up to 11 Paxman charged up like scarface. They should sell tickets to that.
Could the BBC do and AFC Wimbledon? Political parties can have votes of no confidence in their leaders, wouldn’t it be interesting if corporations could do the same?

I just don’t get this debate.
BBC One **alone** accounts for something around 36% of the BBC budget.
BBC Three, BBC Four, the seven national radio stations plus all the regional ones AND the entire website operation COMBINED are less than that.
Note that this has carefully been hidden in the current version of “How we spend the cash”

But archive.org knows:

Shift BBC One over to News 24 an hour earlier each day, and we can probably double Humprey’s budget.

And stop duplicating news programming on the main channels and News 24. News 24 should carry the BBC Six O’Clock News, then the BBC One 10 O’Clock, then Newsnight, then it’s own stuff. Why on earth they’re broadcasting simultaneous news from two different studios at the same time baffles me….
