So that was Christmas…

ahhh Christmas, spent relaxing with the languor of an opium eater, only with Terry’s chocolate orange instead, so much so that I forgot to renew my domain name and so the redirect from eyedropper.co.uk isn’t working right now. It’s on my list of ‘things to do’, along with a great many other things, there’s been a fair bit of thinking at eyedropper towers over the festive period.Christmas was nice though, spent with family and friends. Food wise a highlight was roast duck boned and stuffed with venison served with dauphinoise potatoes and my sisters special shredded sprouts, (not boiled, but fried in butter, then with just a bit of water added if it gets dry. they taste much better and mean you don’t fart all afternoon) The goose came from Chatsworth House farm shop, and set us all back a few bob, but if your going to have the meal of the year with family you might as well all out.Pressie wise, mrs e got me a Casio CTK-800 full sized piano keyboard! Wow, should plug into garageband too. It’s got a really good learning system, which means I can now play the opening riff to The Entertainer… It’s sooo much harder than guitar.Other kind gifts included Larusse gastromonic, some theatre tokens, book tokens, lots of chocolate, a chef’s hat and various other bits and bobs. All in all, very relaxing, hardly any interneting done, very little telly watched, save for Doctor Who which I thought had a few to many Starwars references – sword fights on cloud ships, hands chopped off, Death Star stylee lasers…. search your feelings, you know it to be true.
